I, from the earth and the wind
and the water and the sun,
shall once more be one with them.
For life continues not within me
but within those whom I have loved.
Surrender my life, forever?
Gladly if I can but feel that
somehow I will continue,
not within myself, but
within those I have known.
Then I shall return to the earth and
the wind and the water and the sun,
and sing praise to the silent me,
for I will have become eternal
in the love of others.
And I will stand joyful within my God.
